Formally known as my little pumpkin kids- Milly and Tate stitched its first stitched in 2004. Were still the same quality company, but with a new name. Where does the name Milly and TATE came from? I wish I had a great story behind it, but my creative director and best friend was pregnant with her third child and really wanted to name the baby after her grandma Milly, but her husband wasnt on board. The baby was named Marli and the business used Milly. As for Tate, I love that name and its my youngest son Brendens middle name.

My story is…. My name is Heather Siegel and I am just like you. Im a mom of 3 sometimes 4 kids, if you add my husband. Im not a designer by trade - just a girl with a passion to create beautiful things. my little pumpkin was born along with my first son, Hayden. I had left teaching to be a stay-at-home mom, but while I loved spending time with him, I found myself missing something… I needed a creative outlet. I had received all these amazing gifts, from burp clothes to blankets to clothes, and I thought to myself, this cant be that hard. At the time I did not know how to sew, nor did I own a sewing machine! My husband thought I was crazy and that it was just a phase. To his surprise, I began teaching myself how to sew, and with that a business grew…while Hayden napped, I created. It was the perfect combination. When my sweet little Isabelle was born, so was my clothing line. What started out as just appliquéing, turned into manufacturing. Then we welcomed Brenden in 2007, and the name change to Milly and TATE.
